Outdoor Transformations

Patios & Outdoor Living

Outdoor space planned like a room — for dinners, fires and quiet mornings.

Overview

What changes for you.

The best outdoor spaces are planned like interior rooms: a dining zone near the kitchen door, a lounge area with a view, clear paths between them and lighting for the evening.

We lay out the zones around your furniture and routines, then build them on bases that stay level.

  • Room to host

Patio sizes based on real furniture and circulation space.

  • Evening use

Lighting and fire features that extend the day.

  • A finished frame

Planting, walls and screens that make the space feel enclosed and private.

Scope

What's included.

  • Paver and natural stone patios
  • Seat walls and low retaining walls
  • Fire pit areas
  • Pathways linking outdoor zones
  • Pergola and shade structure coordination
  • Low-voltage lighting coordination
  • Surrounding planting

Your written proposal confirms the exact scope, materials and exclusions for your property.

Before you start

Worth knowing up front.

Size for furniture

A dining set for six needs much more space than the table itself. We plan around your actual pieces.

Fire features

Open-air fire rules differ by municipality. What is permitted should be confirmed before a fire feature is planned.

Sun and wind

Placement relative to afternoon sun and prevailing wind affects how often you use the space.

Process

How the work unfolds.

  1. Zone plan

    Dining, lounging, paths and views.

  2. Proposal

    Materials, layout and written price.

  3. Build

    Base, hardscape, walls and features.

  4. Finish

    Planting, lighting and cleanup.

FAQ

Patios & Outdoor Living: common questions.

Can a patio connect to an existing deck?

Yes. Stepping down from a deck to a patio is a common way to create two distinct zones.

Natural stone or pavers?

Natural stone has an organic look; pavers offer consistent sizing and colour. Both last when installed on a proper base.

Do you install outdoor lighting?

We plan low-voltage lighting as part of the build. Where line-voltage electrical work is required, an appropriately qualified electrician may be required as part of the project.
