Fences
Privacy that looks architectural — straight lines, solid posts, gates that close.
Overview
What changes for you.
A fence is mostly about the parts you cannot see: post depth, spacing and gate framing. Get those wrong and the fence leans and gates sag within a few winters.
We set posts for the site and finish with clean tops, caps and hardware. Lot lines and fence-height rules should be confirmed before work begins.

Worth knowing up front.
Property lines
We work from your survey or confirmed lot markers. Shared fences often benefit from a conversation with neighbours first.
Height bylaws
Height limits vary by municipality, and front yards are often treated differently from backyards. Local rules should be confirmed before work begins.
Pools
Pool enclosures have specific bylaw requirements for height, gaps and self-closing gates.
Process
How the work unfolds.
Layout
Confirm lines, heights and gate locations.
Posts
Locates, then posts set for the site.
Panels
Rails, boards and gates installed.
Finish
Caps, hardware and final adjustments.
FAQ
Fences: common questions.
How tall can my fence be?
It depends on your municipality and whether it is a front or back yard. Local rules should be confirmed before work begins.
Can you reuse my existing posts?
Only if they are sound and plumb. Leaning or rotting posts are almost always replaced.
Should I stain a new wood fence?
Yes, after the wood has dried — usually later the same season. Stain protects against UV and moisture.
