Vinyl & Laminate Flooring
The look of wood, the durability of modern materials — installed properly.
Overview
What changes for you.
Vinyl plank and laminate have become the practical choice for busy households: realistic wood looks, strong wear layers and much easier upkeep than hardwood.
The difference between a floor that looks premium and one that looks cheap is mostly in the install — subfloor flatness, expansion gaps and how transitions are handled.

Before you start
Worth knowing up front.
Vinyl or laminate?
Vinyl wins on water resistance; laminate often feels more like real wood underfoot. Many homes use both.
Flatness matters
Click-lock floors need a flat subfloor. High and low spots are corrected before install.
Expansion gaps
Floating floors move with temperature. Proper gaps hidden under trim prevent buckling.
Process
How the work unfolds.
Select
Product, colour and plank direction.
Prep
Remove old floor, level subfloor.
Install
Underlayment and click-lock planks.

Trim, transitions and cleanup.
FAQ
Vinyl & Laminate Flooring: common questions.
Is vinyl plank waterproof?
Many rigid-core vinyl products are highly water-resistant at the surface. Standing water should still be cleaned up promptly.
Can laminate go in a kitchen?
Some water-resistant laminates can. For areas with frequent spills, vinyl is usually the safer choice.
How long does installation take?
It depends on square footage, prep and stairs. Your proposal includes an estimated schedule.
